Well almost. Daffodils and crocuses are up. Camellias are starting to bloom. The air smells fresh. For gardeners, dreams of perennials and annuals motivate digging and planting, enriching soil and envisioning the colors, shapes and smells of spring and summer.

And so it is for VIUF!  It’s been a long two years, but we are getting close to coming out of hibernation.

The core of our community has stayed strong during these weeks and months:  diverse and meaningful Sunday services, sharing joys and concerns, meal trains and pastoral care, men’s, women’s and book groups, supporting social and climate justice.  Even a weekly newsletter, a talent show, cupcakes and a Sunday market!

But we have longed for the intimacy of in-person community: gathering at Sunday services and coffee hours in Lewis Hall, in men’s and women’s groups over meals, circle dinners, picnics and celebrations.

We long to see the families in our community, to re-invest in RE, to welcome new people, to think and plan for our future, renewing the personal bonds that strengthen our community.

Soon we will be carefully back in Lewis Hall. What will you celebrate the most?
